“Write hard and clear about what hurts.” - Ernest Hemingway
“As a writer, you try to listen to what others aren’t saying… and write about the silence.” - N. R. Hart |
Hello World! My name is Tiana Monique Leiva, and I am a nontraditional Christian writer. I currently am a senior at Ozark Christian College, pursuing a major in Biblical Justice. While my “real” job is making coffee at Starbucks, I volunteer as a creative writing teacher for high school students. My favorite music is made by Adam Young, but consists of mostly Owl City's older albums. I love Jesus, fantasy, steampunk, video games, space, gardening, and symbolism.
Seeing the deeper meaning in life is my favorite thing to do, so symbolism plays a heavy part in my writing. For me, stories are about writing my heart, so, no matter how deep or dark the subject matter, I try to write how I feel and what I think.
Life is rarely cliche, so writing shouldn’t be either.

“I am a writer. The characters I create aren’t me. They are a part of me. They are the part of me who is the adventurer, the romantic, the warrior, the princess, the hero, the villain, the freak, the friend. They are the parts of me that I hide, the parts I wish to be, the parts I have been, and the parts I will be. Every story is based on a truth. Your truth.”
